BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Med. Univ. Vaartjes graduated from the medical University of Vienna. After working at the Institute of Tropical Medicine of Vienna, she worked at the Royal Brompton Hospital at the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery and later at the Stroke Unit of the Epsom and Helier University Hospital in London. In Frankfurt, she worked at a clinic for neurologic rehabilitation and then at the Institute of Psychiatry of the Goethe University Hospital. She continued to pursue her passion for medicine by working in internal medicine, cardiology, cardiac rehabilitation and family medicine, finalizing her specialty in General Medicine in Frankfurt. She continues to be a mentor for students of the Medical University of Frankfurt. She lives in Milan and joined MMC in March 2023.
